The SmackDown tag team landscape just got bigger and more terrifying, as The Wyatt Sicks made their return. They had been absent from WWE programming for a long time, and fans were eagerly waiting for them to make an impact. Well, they made an impact all right, as Uncle Howdy and company laid waste to the entire tag team division, including the champions, the Street Profits.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, the Street Profits defended their titles against Fraxiom. Both teams were in top form and gave each other a hell of a fight. However, the ever-heelish tag team of Johnny Gargano, along with Candice LeRae and Tommaso Ciampa, tried to ruin the match with interference. Unfortunately for them, the Motor City Machine Guns were ready to take them on.
Amid all the chaos, Montez Ford took everyone out with a dive to the outside. As he looked to finish off the challengers, the arena suddenly went dark. The Wyatt Sicks made a surprise return and destroyed everyone in sight. Uncle Howdy sent a message to the entire tag division by hitting the late Bray Wyatt’s signature move, Sister Abigail, on Gargano.
The last time they were seen was on the December 9th episode of Raw, where the Wyatt Sicks were defeated by The Miz and The Final Testament in a tag team match. Fans were excited to see them back in action and hoped they would stay for a long time. With the ominous group making their return on the blue brand, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the entire tag team division.
Wyatt Sicks paid tribute to late Bray Wyatt upon their return on SmackDown
After they destroyed MCMG, DIY, and the Street Profits, the Wyatt Sicks took center stage. As the lights dimmed once more, he leaned over a birthday cake and blew out a candle — a chilling tribute to Bray Wyatt on what would have been his birthday.
The Eater of Worlds was very influential on Wyatt Sicks. It was said that WWE wanted to continue with the storyline even after he passed away. The plan was in motion when the ominous group made their debut last year in June. All the members were inspired by the Firefly Funhouse characters, which Wyatt used to communicate as The Fiend.
Wyatt and Uncle Howdy were seen together only a few times. One of those matches was between The Fiend and LA Knight a couple of years ago. Both stars fought in the Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble PLE. Wyatt won the match with the interference of Uncle Howdy. Sadly, Wyatt passed away in August of that year.
