John Cena’s next opponent after defeating archrival Randy Orton at WWE Backlash revealed

John Cena showed why he is the greatest of all time by defeating Randy Orton at Backlash. Many fans didn’t like the way he picked up the win, especially Orton’s hometown fans. However, the 17-time world champion did whatever it took to retain the championship and remained the last real champion.

In Cena’s victory, one superstar unknowingly played a huge part. The name in question is none other than R-Truth, who stepped in when The Viper tried to hit the Punt Kick on Cena. He still saw the Doctor of Thuganomics as a hero and didn’t want to accept the fact that Cena was now a completely changed man.

Well, he got to experience the world champion’s changed nature when Cena hit him with an AA through a table during the post-show press conference. On the latest episode of SmackDown, the record 24/7 Champion sat down with Wade Barrett for an interview to talk about what transpired after the Backlash event. Truth said that he had always believed in Cena.

However, even the 53-year-old veteran admitted that the Cena he knew wasn’t there anymore. He further added that the Cena he knew would never turn his back on the fans. Finally, Truth laid out a challenge to the 17-time World Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He said that if he had to beat him to bring him back to his senses, he would do it. Although it’s a non-title match, fans are excited to see two veterans going at it.

R-Truth names his funniest moment in WWE

The 53-year-old veteran has been one of the funniest superstars in wrestling history. Fans have enjoyed countless hilarious moments whenever R-Truth was on screen. However, this time he pointed out what he considered the funniest moment of his career.

While talking with Chris Van Vliet on his show The Insight, he stated that his segment with Brock Lesnar was the funniest. The veteran revealed that even Paul Heyman was involved in the joke and had decided not to tell his client anything about it. Ahead of the Royal Rumble PLE in 2020, Truth managed to successfully break Lesnar’s character with a funny pun.

“Definitely the Brock Lesnar thing. And Paul just surprising everybody, We’re not going to let Brock know what we’re going to do. It’s just going to be a free fall. I’m like Brock is a beast. I think we should let Brock know what we’re going to say about Brock.”
