“I shouldn’t let my guard down,” Iyo Sky breaks silence after her Rhea Ripley helps her on Raw

After defeating both Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 41, Iyo Sky has found some new enemies. On the episode of Raw after WrestleMania, the WWE Women’s World Champion faced Stephanie Vaquer for the first time. Unfortunately, the match was completely ruined by interference from Roxanne Perez and Giulia.

In the main event of the latest episode of Raw, Sky and Ripley teamed up against the tag team of Perez and Giulia. In the final moments of the match, Mami showed her presence of mind, resulting in the former NXT Women’s Champion hitting a crossbody on her partner. The Eradicator took advantage of this and hit the Riptide on Giulia to win the match.

After the match ended, Sky caught Ripley eyeing her world title. The Genius of the Sky took to X and expressed her happiness that Mami came from Australia to help her. Although she admitted that she should not let her guard down, she did enjoy teaming up with Ripley.

Mami came back from Australia to “help” me!!! I know I shouldn’t let my guard down, but…I really enjoyed this tag team tonight!!!”

The 27-year-old star soon replied to her post and said she was ‘alright’ for now. Fans witnessed good chemistry between both superstars, with Ripley even giving Sky the unofficial nickname of Chipmunk. There is no doubt in fans’ minds that whenever these two meet in the ring, it will be one to remember. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Sky and Ripley.

Vince Russo expressed his opinions on Iyo Sky winning Triple Threat match at WrestleMania

Sky is one of the most popular female wrestlers in WWE right now. It didn’t matter to her whether she was a heel or a face, as the WWE audience loved her either way. The Japanese wrestler won perhaps the most important match of her career at WrestleMania 41. Although the fans believed she was the rightful winner, former WWE employee Vince Russo shared a different opinion.

On Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge show, Russo stated that he failed to understand the reason behind Sky winning. In his opinion, she was a less charismatic wrestler compared to Ripley and Belair. The former writer said that while both Ripley and Belair had great characters and looks, Sky was no competition for them.

You’ve got Rhea Ripley, who’s got a great character and a great look. You’ve got Bianca Belair, great character, great look. The one with the least amount of personality and charisma wins the match. Okay, great!”

The match between the three women was action-packed from start to finish. Sky, Ripley, and Belair gave their all to win. In the final moments of the match, the EST of WWE hit Ripley with the KOD. However, Sky hit them both with the Over the Moonsault and picked up the win. It will be interesting to see how Triple H books the Japanese wrestler as champion going forward.
