WATCH: WWE Makes Shocking Brock Lesnar Reference Ahead of Night of Champions 2025

It’s been a while since the WWE Universe has seen Brock Lesnar in a wrestling ring. His last match in the Stamford-based company was against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam in 2023. He was also rumored to appear at the Royal Rumble this year, but was caught in the middle of a big controversy involving former WWE employee Janel Grant‘s lawsuit.

However, after his name was mentioned during a match on Raw, fans got their hopes up once again. In the main event of the latest episode of Raw, Rhodes took on Jey Uso in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament. In the final moments of the match, the American Nightmare used Lesnar’s submission move, the Kimura Lock, on Uso.

The commentators quickly pounced on the moment and mentioned Rhodes’s fight with the Beast Incarnate at SummerSlam two years ago. Talking about the lawsuit, Lesnar was immediately removed from all creative plans. His name wasn’t mentioned in promos or video packages, and WWE even removed his footage from the WWE 2K24 video game.

This continued until Paul Heyman was allowed to mention him during his Hall of Fame speech. Although Lesnar hasn’t appeared on WWE programming for a long time, he has been seen regularly at non-wrestling events. He was last seen with his wife, Sable, attending an event in a completely new look. Despite fans wanting him to return, his future with WWE looks uncertain.

Omos Talked About His Clash With Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39

Omos faced Brock Lesnar in a blockbuster showdown at WrestleMania 39 — a true clash of titans that showcased raw power and dominance. The match not only thrilled fans but also reaffirmed Lesnar’s status as the Beast Incarnate. Recently, the Nigerian Giant reflected on the experience, sharing his thoughts on stepping into the ring with one of WWE’s most feared and respected competitors.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Omos opened up about his WrestleMania 39 clash with Lesnar. He admitted it was a tough experience, as he had never taken a German suplex before and was understandably nervous. However, the Nigerian Giant praised Lesnar for handling everything calmly and professionally, both before and during the match, which helped ease his nerves.

“I remember during rehearsals, he just goes like, ‘Hey, how many Germans do you want to do?’ I’m like, ‘Brother, it’s you, Brock. Like, however much you want to give me, brother. We doing this, like, you’re doing me a favor with this match.”

However, since then, the former tag champ has yet to receive any major push, and his momentum has taken a hit.
