Virat Kohli is the most followed Indian on the social media platform Instagram. Each and every post of his is seen and discussed by millions of people across the country. Unfortunately, his accidental action on Instagram has landed him in the spotlight, drawing criticism from many fans and critics.

Recently, a picture went viral showing him liking a post from an actress, Avneet Kaur’s, fan page on Instagram. The news spread like wildfire among fans, and he was soon trolled on social media. Not only that, rumors also began circulating about a rift between Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma. Amidst the controversy, the King has shared a clarification message on social media.

The 36-year-old veteran posted a story on Instagram, stating that it was an algorithm error. He clarified that while clearing his feed, the algorithm might have mistakenly registered an interaction with Avneet’s picture. Kohli said there was no intent behind liking the post and requested fans not to make any baseless assumptions.

It seemed like the controversy affected him in the match against CSK. Although he scored 62 runs off just 33 balls, he dropped an important catch of Ravindra Jadeja, who looked well set. Fans certainly missed his smile and iconic celebration after RCB’s win, as there was an over-the-top celebration on his face. The cricketing world hopes that Kohli can focus on future matches and move past the controversy.

RCB achieved league double over CSK for first time ever in IPL

Rajat Patidar’s RCB is looking like a team on a mission, breaking records wherever they go. First, they defeated MS Dhoni’s team at Chepauk Stadium after 17 years. The three-time finalists also beat the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium after 15 years. Bengaluru is currently sitting comfortably at the top of the points table.

Now, after the dramatic win against their southern neighbors, they have created another record. RCB defeated CSK for the first time ever in the league stage of the IPL. Not only that, the Bengaluru side also strengthened their record at home against them, winning 6 matches compared to CSK’s 5.

The road is becoming clearer for RCB now, as they have one foot over the qualification line. Their next three games are against LSG, SRH, and KKR, in that order. While Patidar’s team will face Lucknow and Hyderabad for the first time this season, the reigning champions will look to take revenge for their loss in the very first match of the IPL.
