WWE United States Champion Solo Sikoa Makes Bold Admission About Bloodline Storyline

Solo Sikoa has stepped out of his brothers’ shadow and become a bona fide superstar. He has handled the Bloodline business with help from the Tongans and Jacob Fatu. His hard work paid off when he defeated The Samoan Werewolf to win the United States Title at Night of Champions. However, Sikoa believes the Bloodline storyline is far from over.

Sikoa spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard during SummerSlam weekend. The Street Champion said the Bloodline storyline was still in its “third innings.” He backed Paul Heyman’s statement, saying the storyline had much more gas for the future. He added that it involved not only Heyman and Roman Reigns but also him and Fatu.

He was asked for his opinion on the scuffle between Seth Rollins, Reigns, and Heyman. Sikoa said he wanted to stay out of their business, as he had his own plans. After Reigns lost his world title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL, Sikoa turned heel. He attacked Jimmy Uso with Tama Tonga and started his own Bloodline.

“There’s still plenty more to come. I still think that means for both sides too, with Heyman and Roman and what they got going on, and us too. For Paul to say that, he’s not even here and we’re not on the same team, but it’s the third inning. We’re just getting started.”

He was involved in high-profile rivalries with Reigns and Rhodes throughout the year. Recently, Sikoa defended his U.S. title against Fatu in a Steel Cage match at SummerSlam. He got some help from his MFTs, but The Samoan Werewolf had the last laugh. It seems the rivalry between Sikoa and Fatu will continue for now.

Solo Sikoa Reveals That He Learned a Lot From His Brothers Roman Reigns and the Usos

Solo Sikoa made his main roster debut three years ago at Clash at the Castle PLE. He helped Reigns retain the world title against Drew McIntyre with timely interference. Since then, the former NXT North American Champion has grown a lot, crediting the iconic Bloodline storyline. Sikoa spoke about the dynamics between the cousins and what he learned from them.

During the same WrestleZone interview, Sikoa was asked about the biggest personal benefit of being in the Bloodline storyline. Normally the quiet one, he said he used his time to learn from Reigns and his brothers, Jimmy and Jey Uso. He added that he applied those lessons to find his own path to success, creating his own Bloodline.

“I think just being able to sit under the learning tree of Roman and my brothers. A lot of people thought I was just standing there, like not listening. Little did they know, I’m over there listening and taking it all in. So when it became my time to take the ball and run with it, I started my own Bloodline and it took off.”

Unfortunately, despite being the U.S. Champion, Sikoa has lost several matches recently. On the latest SmackDown, Sami Zayn pinned him clean in Canada, killing his champion momentum. Many fans are upset with his treatment despite his character’s improvement. It will be interesting to see who challenges for his title next.
