According to WrestleVotes Radio, the idea of calling The Rock and John Cena’s team “The Rock and Soul Connection” has been discussed. It resembles the name associated with him and Mick Foley, “The Rock and Sock Connection.” All these rumors hint that the two megastars may team up for a match soon.
The Doctor of Thuganomics returned at the Money in the Bank PLE last year and announced that 2025 would be his final year as a wrestler. He competed in his last-ever Royal Rumble match but fell short to Jey Uso. In the press conference after the Royal Rumble, Cena directly announced himself for the Elimination Chamber match.
In hindsight, this was a big hint at Cena turning heel, because Cena, the fans knew, would never accept anything being handed to him straight away. After winning the Elimination Chamber by putting CM Punk to sleep, The Rock asked Cody Rhodes to become his champion. He refused, and boom!
