WATCH: ‘CHARGED UP’ Cody Rhodes boldly calls out John Cena to show up at the next Raw

The last few weeks haven’t gone the way Cody Rhodes wanted. He was brutally attacked by John Cena in a shocking heel turn after refusing to join The Rock. The WWE Champion, seeking revenge, called out Cena.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes appeared as a guest on Miz TV. Just as he was about to lead the fans in his iconic ‘WOAH’ chant, The Miz abruptly stopped the music, angering the champion. The American Nightmare responded by delivering a Cross Rhodes to Miz before challenging John Cena to speak with him one-on-one.

The 16-time world champion thrilled fans by winning the Elimination Chamber match after defeating CM Punk. However, it all went downhill when The Rock came down to get his answer, accompanied by popular singer Travis Scott. When Rhodes refused The Final Boss’s request to become his champion, Cena shocked the world by siding with him and attacking the champion.

Cena will appear on the next episode of Monday Night Raw to speak for the first time after Elimination Chamber. It will be intriguing to see whether he and Rhodes get involved in a physical altercation or not. Needless to say, the road to WrestleMania looks more thrilling than ever.

WWE is planning to profit off of Cody Rhodes’ infamous line

The Elimination Chamber PLE has already become one of the greatest events in history, thanks to John Cena’s shocking heel turn. However, the segment featured several defining moments—one of them being Cody Rhodes telling The Rock, ‘Go f**k yourself.’ Now, WWE is looking to profit from those infamous words.

On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, the idea of selling new Cody Rhodes merchandise featuring the ‘F-yourself’ line was discussed. Since his return at WrestleMania 38, The American Nightmare has been one of the top names in merchandise sales. WWE may release it as a Superstore-exclusive item during WrestleMania weekend.

“In addition, we have learned that WWE is going to lean into the now infamous go F-yourself line from Cody Rhodes, as they have okayed potential merchandise with that phrase alongside the American Nightmare branding, which could end up being WrestleMania weekend superstore only exclusive merchandise.”

Rhodes will defend his world title against The Doctor of Thuganomics at WrestleMania 41. There is no doubt that The Final Boss will be in Cena’s corner and will want him to become his champion. Only time will tell whether the WWE Universe witnesses history on the grandest stage of them all.
