Watch: Jey Uso Hilariously Botches Cody Rhodes’ Birthday Celebration

WWE stalwart Cody Rhodes celebrated his 40th birthday a couple of days ago. However, his best friend, Jey Uso, decided to cut the cake a little early. Pictures and videos of the celebration went viral due to a hilarious moment between the two stars. After the latest episode of SmackDown went off-air, the Yeet Man gave Rhodes a pleasant surprise.

Uso came out with a cake and a candle to the ring to celebrate Cody’s birthday in front of the crowd. However, a wholesome moment quickly turned into a hilarious nightmare. The former World Heavyweight Champion accidentally dropped the cake in the ring. The crowd joined in the fun and chanted “You f**ked up” at Uso.

With the former Bloodline member now on Raw and Rhodes on SmackDown, their paths to glory are quite different. While Uso is caught in a rivalry with Seth Rollins and his crew, Rhodes has shifted focus to John Cena. At Night of Champions, Rhodes defeated his best friend and mentor, Randy Orton, in the King of the Ring finals.

Uso was one of the opponents Rhodes defeated to reach the finals of the tournament. On the latest episode of Raw, Sami Zayn and Penta teamed up against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Their match continued the ongoing rivalry between the two sides. Despite winning the match with a devastating spear, Rollins’ men kept attacking the babyfaces. Uso made the save and fended them off with multiple chair shots.

Roman Reigns Heavily Praised Jey Uso Prior to His WrestleMania Glory

Roman Reigns spoke his heart out about Jey Uso’s meteoric rise in WWE. The Tribal Chief appeared on Pat McAfee’s show and talked about growing up with both Jimmy Uso and Jey. He expressed pride in The Yeet Master for breaking barriers. Reigns noted it meant even more because Jey was always considered the runt.

The Big Uce said he’s extremely proud of the 39-year-old star. Addressing their intense on-screen battles in recent years, Reigns added that families do fight. However, he emphasized that he wanted the absolute best for them. It hasn’t been lost on anyone that Uso pinned The Tribal Chief at Money in the Bank 2023. That moment happened during a high-stakes tag team match.

“I can’t even put it into words. It’s not easy being a twin. Seeing Jey break all these barriers and now he understands me better. I’m just so proud of Jey Uso. Family is family, and he’s doing big things. YEET.”

The significance of that moment was huge, as Reigns hadn’t been pinned by anyone since 2019. The Yeet Master ended that 3.5-year-long streak, shaking his cousin’s mental state. While it was a monumental feat for the once Reigns-accused hothead, his triumph over Gunther at WrestleMania was even bigger.
