Promising superstar Zoey Stark suffered a horrific injury in an important match, ruining her chance to qualify for the MITB ladder match. In the eyes of many fans, this might be one of the most horrific injuries in modern times, alongside JD McDonagh’s.
On the latest episode of Raw, Stark wrestled in a Triple Threat match against the returning Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley. During the match, the 31-year-old star attempted to perform her signature move, the springboard dropkick. Unfortunately, it looked like The Pirate Princess wasn’t in the right position, and Stark completely missed the dropkick.
Her knee was awkwardly bent the wrong way, causing a brutal-looking injury. Immediately after the horrible fall, she was seen clutching her knee and screaming in pain. Ring doctors came in to check on her, and she was later carried backstage. The match continued between Ripley and Sane, with the former picking up the victory after a Riptide.
According to Michael Cole, Stark had re-injured her knee. In 2021, the 31-year-old underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus, ACL, and MCL. Her current diagnosis has not yet been officially announced by WWE. Despite being a heel, the WWE Universe wished her a speedy recovery through countless social media posts and comments.

As soon as Stark fell awkwardly on the mat, fans knew something had seriously gone wrong. They were disappointed by the possibility that she might have to stay out of action for a whole year due to the horrific injury. Not only fans, but AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa also showed her support by sending a heartfelt message on social media.
