Popular Rapper Lil Wayne Name-Drops Controversial Wrestler Brock Lesnar in His New Album

Lil Wayne is regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time by fans. Recently, he dropped one of his most anticipated albums, Carter VI, on June 6th, marking a return to his famous Carter series. So far, it has received mixed reviews at best. However, what caught the wrestling fans’ eyes was the mention of Brock Lesnar in one of his songs, “Cotton Candy.”

In his album Carter VI, which consists of 19 songs, many other famous rappers are featured. On the track “Cotton Candy,” which also features 2 Chainz, Wayne mentions The BeastIncarnate in one of the lines: “F*ck her like wrestler Brock Lesnar.” People have started to wonder whether the legendary rapper knows anything about the real-life controversy surrounding the former Universal Champion.

Lesnar has found himself tangled in legal trouble that has put his WWE career in jeopardy. He was named in a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant and cannot return to WWE until the issue is fully resolved. Lesnar was immediately removed from all creative plans. His name wasn’t mentioned in promos or video packages, and WWE even erased his footage from the WWE 2K24 video game.

This continued until Paul Heyman was allowed to mention him during his Hall of Fame speech. Although Lesnar hasn’t appeared on WWE programming for a long time, he has been seen regularly at non-wrestling events. He was last seen with his wife, Sable, attending an event in a completely new look. Lesnar’s last match in WWE was against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam two years ago. His current status with WWE remains uncertain.

Matt Hardy Explains Why He and His Brother Jeff Hardy Were Paired With Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was a force to be reckoned with, even in his early days. One of his very first opponents was Matt Hardy. The former WWE star discussed being paired with The Next Big Thing during Lesnar’s early years in WWE, along with his brother, Jeff Hardy. He focused on why the Stamford-based company entrusted him and Jeff with that role.

On his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, he revealed that WWE trusted him and his brother with Lesnar. Hardy stated that the company recognized they were the two guys who understood the mission to elevate Lesnar, who had huge potential. The former World Tag Team Champion further added that they also mentored The Beast Incarnate in certain ways.

“I think we were paired with Brock out of the gates because they trusted us… He was a guy that they saw huge potential in… They thought we wouldn’t take advantage of him. But they thought we would also lead him if he needed leadership in certain ways.”

Big Money Matt admitted that he loved working with Lesnar and enjoyed all the segments he did with him. Lesnar, who was brought to the main roster in 2002 after a few years in WWE’s then-developmental territory, OVW, wrestled the Hardys on house shows at the start of 2002, just a few months after being called up to Raw.
