Roman Reigns fell victim to a 2-on-1 disadvantage against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on this week’s Raw. He would’ve been decimated if Jey Uso hadn’t come out to help his cousin. The former Bloodline members worked together to take out Seth Rollins’ lackeys, leaving Paul Heyman shell-shocked.
After replaying the sequence of events in his mind following the show, Reigns issued a challenge for SummerSlam. Taking to X, the 40-year-old urged Uso to trust him one more time and team up to face Breakker and Reed in a tag team showdown. The OTC stated that the duo he called “the Brons” should learn to seize the moment if they truly want to be seen as the future of the company.
Well, it’s safe to say that it didn’t take Jey much convincing. The Yeet Man replied to his cousin with a video, announcing that he had accepted The OTC’s offer. The former World Heavyweight Champion stated that Reigns didn’t need to do much to convince him to fight against Reed and Breakker.
Jey has enjoyed an excellent 2025 in his singles career. He first won the Royal Rumble by eliminating John Cena. Then, he went on to make his biggest opponent, Gunther, tap out at WrestleMania to win the World Title. Unfortunately, he lost the title back to The Ring General after a few months and is now seeking redemption. A win at SummerSlam alongside his cousin Reigns could once again propel him into the main event scene.
Roman Reigns Cleared the Air Around Self-Sabotaging the Bloodline on Raw
The Roman Reigns-led Bloodline dominated WWE for several years until it eventually dissolved. It began with Reigns and the Usos as a trio, later bringing in Sami Zayn as the “Honorary Uce,” and culminated with Solo Sikoa’s arrival as The Tribal Chief’s enforcer.
The faction’s heyday stemmed from Reigns’ historic 1,316-day run as world champion, along with Jimmy and Jey’s 622-day reign as tag team champions. Things began to fall apart for the Anoa’i family after the Usos lost their titles at WrestleMania 39. The twin brothers broke away from Reigns’ tyrannical leadership, and the Bloodline crumbled.
Even though Reigns and the Usos reunited for WarGames last year, it was a one-off occurrence. The Head of the Table has never truly apologized to his cousins in kayfabe, which many fans consider one of the few loopholes in an otherwise successful storyline arc.
On this week’s Raw, Reigns insisted that the history books should reflect that it wasn’t him but Heyman who ruptured their relationship. The former Shield member lashed out at the 59-year-old for siding with his so-called best friend, CM Punk, who hadn’t even spoken to him in nearly a decade.
