Since the early years of WWE, many stars have graced the show with their presence. It didn’t matter whether they were film stars or from the sports industry; they always enjoyed the wrestlers’ performances. Football’s rising star Lamine Yamal also greatly enjoys SmackDown.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Lamine Yamal and fellow FC Barcelona footballer Alejandro Balde were in attendance at the Olympic Arena in Barcelona, Spain. They got the chance to meet some of the biggest stars, like Randy Orton, Triple H, Drew McIntyre, the current WWE Champion, and Cody Rhodes.
Although Yamal thoroughly enjoyed the entire show, it looked like he was having the time of his life during the match between Randy Orton and Carmelo Hayes. Many fans recorded him capturing a video of The Legend Killer delivering an RKO to the young star. This was just another example of why the legendary veteran is so respected and adored.
The 17-year-old star even took to social media and posted a picture of himself holding the WWE title. Though he is not the only football star to appear in WWE, legendary player Wayne Rooney also appeared a few years ago and had an altercation with Wade Barrett.
Gunther trolls fans in front of FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal
The World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, never misses a chance to troll the audience in his heelish way, and he did the same on the latest episode of SmackDown. It’s safe to say Lamine Yamal didn’t like what he had to say about Barcelona fans.
Weeks before his match against Jey Uso at WrestleMania, Gunther came out to address the WWE Universe. The Ring General said that although he was meant to be there, he always preferred Madrid. The audience couldn’t stop booing when Gunther namedropped their biggest rivals. Not only that, but he also chanted ‘Hala Madrid’ in front of Yamal.
He then talked about Jey’s popularity and claimed it wouldn’t matter when he stepped into the ring with him. The World Heavyweight Champion challenged Axiom to a match in his home country with the whole crowd behind him. After a grueling match, Gunther got the better of him and stood tall.
