“Not wrestling anymore…,” Becky Lynch makes startling revelation about her WWE situation amidst WrestleMania season

Becky Lynch has confirmed she is taking a break from wrestling. She made the announcement on The Ultimate Improv Show on April 11, 2025. The WWE star addressed her status ahead of WrestleMania 41, ending rumors of a surprise return. “It’s WrestleMania season, but I’m not wrestling anymore,” she said. She hinted at a possible return someday but ruled it out for now.

Lynch also joked about her husband, Seth Rollins, still being active in WWE. Rollins is set to compete in a major Triple Threat match at WrestleMania. His opponents will be Roman Reigns and CM Punk. Lynch’s comments come just days before the event, scheduled for April 19–20 in Las Vegas. Fans had speculated about a surprise appearance, but her words suggest it won’t happen.

The reason for her hiatus remains unclear. Many believe she is focused on motherhood and other projects. Even a part-time WWE return would require a major commitment. Lynch, known as “The Man,” was WWE’s highest-paid female wrestler in 2020. She reportedly earned $3.1 million that year.

“It’s WrestleMania season isn’t it. I’m not wrestling anymore… maybe one day but not right now.”

Becky Lynch on her in-ring return

Lynch has previously headlined WrestleMania, making her a top star. Her return would be a big boost for WWE, especially with some fans finding recent events lackluster. For now, though, she seems content staying away from the ring. Her future in wrestling remains uncertain, but she hasn’t ruled out a comeback entirely.

Next opportunity for Becky Lynch’s WWE return

Becky Lynch had big opportunities to return, like the Raw debut on Netflix and the Royal Rumble. However, contract talks and her outside projects have delayed her comeback. With WrestleMania 41 approaching, WWE should wait until after the event to bring her back.

The RAW after WrestleMania is always a major show, often featuring surprise returns. This would be the ideal time for Becky Lynch to come back. Her return could kick off new storylines, as WrestleMania’s end marks a fresh start for WWE.

Right now, Becky Lynch lacks a strong WrestleMania opponent. She usually faces top stars, but most are already in feuds or aren’t at her level yet. Waiting allows WWE to build a better matchup for her.

Both Women’s title scenes are set for WrestleMania 41. IYO Sky will defend against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley, while Charlotte Flair challenges Tiffany Stratton. Lynch should return afterward and pursue the title she wants. This avoids rushing her into a crowded division.
