The drama between popular streamers Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel and Kai Cenat has taken another turn, as xQc publicly shared a private message he sent to Kai in an attempt to extend an “olive branch” and cool tensions.
The two internet giants have been at odds in recent months over several issues. xQc, who streams on both Twitch and Kick, accused some of Kai’s associates of viewbotting. Kai quickly responded to the accusations, calling them “weird” and unnecessary.
The feud deepened when xQc criticized how Adin Ross was allegedly treated by Kai. While xQc recently stated that he “doesn’t care” if Kai dislikes him and isn’t interested in collaborations, he has now revealed a more conciliatory side. In a message shared during a recent stream, the Canadian wrote to Kai:
“Thought I’d touch base and pipe down without all the internet noise to tell you I care about you and I’m not a snake in the grass.”
xQc followed up with an apology, writing:
“I’m genuinely sorry for the stuff I said, and I would have been happy if you doubled down and clapped back. I have enough money/views brother, I’m not gonna be a rat for either—you know that.”
The streamer explained that his message was an attempt to smooth things over privately, without adding fuel to the public fire. He called it an “olive branch,” saying he didn’t want things to escalate based on what he described as “an out-of-context clip.”
“When I apologize for s*it, I don’t have to be prompted,” xQc said on stream. “I’ll do it ahead of time if I feel like I need to apologize. I don’t care about the internet.”
Despite their differences, xQc appeared to be making a genuine effort to ease the tension between them. Whether or not Kai chooses to respond remains to be seen. For now, the feud has taken a back seat, well, at least on xQc’s side.
