Jennifer Lopez Turns Up the Heat at Lucca Festival, Throws Brutal Shades at Ben Affleck – “I Like it Hard”

Jennifer Lopez lit up the Lucca Summer Festival in Italy on Monday night, and not just with her voice or dazzling performance. The 56-year-old pop icon stunned the crowd with bold on-stage comments about her life, and even seemed to take a not-so-subtle swipe at her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

Midway through her set, Lopez delivered a seemingly pointed performance of her track I Got Tired, singing, “I’m up all night, dancing on somebody, living my best life. I bet you wish that you were by my side. I got tired of you breaking me down.”

Interestingly enough, the lyrics hit especially hard given recent headlines about her reportedly strained relationship with Affleck. Though the couple has not publicly confirmed a split, rumors of trouble have circulated for months. Jennifer Lopez’s performance and the way she leaned into those lyrics did little to quiet the speculation.

But that wasn’t all. She then turned to the crowd and took things in an even more personal direction. In a moment that had fans both laughing and gasping, Lopez shared details about her moods.

I have to be honest with you,” she began, “sometimes I get in different moods at night. I don’t know about you but I do — and sometimes I like it hard.”

The crowd roared in response, but she wasn’t done. “Other days, I am feeling a little romantic. You put on candles and soft music. On those days, I like it real slow. But there’s other days… maybe because it’s a new kind of time for me, maybe because it’s summertime and it’s hot outside, I feel a little more naughty.

She added with a cheeky grin, “You ever get that feeling? Where you feel like being naughty? On those days, I like it real fast.”

The audience in Lucca responded with wild cheers. Whether her comments were simply part of the show or veiled messages about her current personal life, one thing is clear — Jennifer Lopez isn’t afraid to speak out about her personal life. And fans, as always, are along for the ride.
