Chelsea Eye Summer Reinforcements with Interest in Rodrigo Muniz and Eintracht Ekitike

The English Premier League club Chelsea has recently started discussions with the agents of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz and Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike. They are looking forward to strengthening their team’s attacking lineup in this summer’s transfer window.

Chelsea, whose performance during this EPL season has mostly been below par, the club’s higher authorities are targeting new forwards to regain its Premier League status.

Sources who are close to the Blues have confirmed that the authorities of the club have started the discussion with agents of both players. However, the club has not offered any formal contracts to any of the players.

Muniz has become the most popular player of Fulham. The player has stolen the attention of some big clubs with his performance this season. The Brazilian player has helped Fulham this season with his constant performance, work rate, and physical presence.

The performance of the Brazilian has not gone in vain, as Chelsea is looking forward to signing the player to strengthen its current attacking lineup.

On the other side, Hugo Ekitike, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January, has earned his name in the Bundesliga with his talent and performance.

The French player, who has a good amount of technical skills and mobility, fits perfectly in Chelsea’s squad, according to the club.

Chelsea is eyeing strengthening its squad

Chelsea’s current attacking lineup has consistently suffered from injuries during the season. With Nicolas Jackson still adapting to English football, Chelsea has seen a decrease in performance despite the upcoming of Cole Palmer.

Adding more young talents to the squad will help the club to regain its performance in the next season.

Both Muniz and Ekitike are viewed as relatively affordable targets compared to some of Europe’s more high-profile names, and their age profiles align with Chelsea’s long-term recruitment strategy.

While the discussions remain in the early stages, the interest signals Chelsea’s intent to act swiftly in the market to support manager Mauricio Pochettino‘s vision for next season. Further developments are expected as the summer window approaches.
